Tasting Notes:

Petto Dragone Etna Rosso has a vibrant ruby red color with a garnet rim. Aromas of red cherry and currant are layered with those of dried lavender and violets, leather, scorched earth, and tobacco. The mouthfeel has a soft minerality reminiscent of flint and eucalyptus, with powerful and refined fruit, a dense tannic structure, and the promise of lingering flavors.

The first bottle I received in mid-August 2023 blew me away - it was incredible.
So I bought two more and received them in early September - very inconsistent. Those two bottles less than a month later were not in the same class as the first bottle. I do not know why. Based on the price this is the crown jewel of Gambino Red. The first bottle was so full and flavorful. The next two were thin and tart - almost as if they were mislabeled as I could not believe they were the same wine.
